We bring a different experience to our clients, delivering a better experience that is personal, proactive and agile.Job DescriptionThis new and exciting role has been created to drive our Public Interest (PI) audit team and transform our approach to winning new business and driving profitable growth in the large listed market and large equivalent privately held companies including major-PE backed groups. You will be part of a supportive and growing audit Go to Market team, as well as the national Markets and Clients community. This is an exciting opportunity to help our partners and directors deliver on ambitious growth targets by ensuring rigour and momentum in their business and client development activities.You will:Transform our approach to winning new business with a proactive, structured and rigorous process aligned with the Firm’s Sales and Marketing CycleEvolve our approach to Business Development by bringing a fresh perspective and insights from experience to drive the right mindsetDefine, identify and oversee a pipeline of tiered pursuits and tenders to support PI growth, introducing a key account management programme and tiering to targets for resource and investment, aiming for increased conversion ratesFully adopt the new CRM system (Dynamics), acting as a champion for best practice across the PI Audit practiceAccount manage priority PI targets, working with Pursuits team to set a clear relationship and win strategy before tender processes, regularly qualifying targetsOversee reporting and monitoring of KPIs around the sales pipelineSupport audit leaders, Head of G2M team and PI partners in identifying and pursuing new markets and key targets, driving BD effortsHold PI partners to account on actions and target development, flagging emerging issues or lack of progressWork with marketing to inform go-to-market plans and ensure they are leveraged by the businessHelp develop propositions for the PI market through collaboration with wider assurance, tax and advisory practicesLiaise with other BD teams as needed (e.g., Large Corporate, Industries, Regional, Advisory and Tax)Build a sales culture and community within PI through regular communication and coordinationIdentify BD/sales/account management training needs and arrange through 121 coaching and the firm’s Learning and Innovation teamSupport strategic client and target conversations alongside senior stakeholdersKnowing you’re right for usJoining us as our Business Development Senior Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is:Professional services experience – ideally Big 4Background in BD and account management in FTSE 350 spaceExperience in effective stakeholder management at senior levelsInterest or knowledge of Audit beneficial but not criticalThe role is flexible on location but has a national remit so travel to different offices may be required.
