Building Surveying Manager

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveying Manager to lead a professional surveying team and oversee the delivery of housing maintenance, planned maintenance and major capital improvement programmes. Key Responsibilities: Manage and develop a team of surveying professionals and technical officers. Lead high-value and complex building projects from feasibility through to completion. Oversee maintenance, repairs, capital improvement and refurbishment programmes. Manage budgets, procurement, contracts, quality, health and safety and compliance. Prepare specifications, drawings, estimates and contract documentation. Liaise with senior management, contractors, customers and other stakeholders. Lead service improvements, resolve complex complaints and contractor disputes. Provide professional advice and contribute to housing policies and strategies. Key Requirements: Building-related degree/professional qualification with significant post-qualification experience. Strong building surveying, project management and contract management experience. Experience managing staff and working with contractors and stakeholders. Knowledge of building, health and safety and relevant regulatory requirements. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent; professional membership desirable. Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem-solving skills. ..... full job details .....
