Assistant Supervisor- Distribution

A successful manufacturing business is looking for an Assistant Supervisor to join its distribution team. This Assistant Supervisor role offers a hands-on opportunity to support daily operations, help lead a team, and ensure products are prepared accurately for customer deliveries and collections.

Hours are 6:00am to 2:30pm or 1:30pm to 10:00pm. Based in High Wycombe, this position offers -31,000 per annum

Duties

• Support the day to day running of the distribution team
• Oversee the preparation of goods for delivery and collection
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products are free from damage and defects
• -Assist with loading vehicles safely and accurately
• Help investigate missing items and resolve loading issues
• Ensure all orders are complete and correctly documented
• Support team training and assist with maintaining high standards
• Communicate with office teams regarding operational issues
• Monitor health and safety procedures within the warehouse
• -Take responsibility for the team when required

Experience

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader position within a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
• Ability to manage staff and arrange cover when required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable, flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
• Hands on approach with a proactive attitude
• Experience of vehicle loading, paperwork management or team supervision would be advantageous
