Application Support Engineer

3rd Line Application Engineer, Solihull – Hybrid, majority remote working

Up to £55,000 plus benefits. You will ideally be within 90 minute commutable distance of Solihull.

Role;

An excellent opportunity to join a recognised national company - You will be supporting the business across a range of applications including COTS, SaaS products to bespoke or industry standards, MS Power Platform / Power Apps, Data Platforms, API’s and Automations.

Details

Working in a cloud first organisation, as an Applications Engineer you will be involved in project work alongside day to day escalations and complex queries, always a great chance to broaden your skills and work on varied aspects across the organisation.

You will be;

• Providing technical support and expertise across a range of application technology
• Involved in projects for Apps and Data
• Owning escalated incidents through to resolution to meet business needs
• Assisting and completing solution design, build and delivery across business requirements for projects and improvements
• Aware and recommending appropriate application solutions to meet business needs
• Configuring and implementing monitoring capabilities across application stack
• Maintaining backups, data and system integrations, updates, application patching

Desirable Experience

Application SDLC knowledge, Process Automation, Data Factory, Data Transformation, Programming (Powershell/Python), SQL, Integration, Prioritisation, Problem solving skills and great communication.

Key areas of application you will be working on;

• Bespoke industry specific apps
• Power Platform or integrations
• Digitisation using Applications or automation
• Configuration or ‘low – code’ of SaaS applications
• Application components in Azure
