999 Emergency Call Handler - Norwich

Overview

We are looking for Call Handlers to work 12 hour shifts flexibly from Monday to Sunday. This will be a mixture of day and night shifts. No clinical experience is required; training and mentoring will be provided.EEAST emergency call handlers are committed, enthusiastic individuals who care about people. They must be able to listen, respond, and enter information quickly and accurately into the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Strong calm communication and the ability to remain supportive when callers are distressed are essential.Responsibilities

Answer 999 calls that come into the Emergency Operating Centre in a timely manner.Use the clinical triage software system to determine an appropriate response for callers.Maintain politeness, courtesy, and respect toward patients, callers, and colleagues in line with Trust values and behaviours.Participate in ongoing training; adapt to potential future changes in the software used.Qualifications

Essential: 4 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English; Call Centre experience is desirable but not required.Skills and Knowledge
