Excelsis are looking for a Chef de Partie to work alongside a Sous Chef, Head Chef and Kitchen Assistants, within a busy kitchen to prepare food for our client just outside Leighton Buzzard. Key Responsibilities: Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required and instructed by the Head Chef/Sous chef. Duties: To carry out the following tasks, but not limited to or exclusive of; Assisting the Head Chef/Sous chef in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen. Assist in the development of daily/weekly Specials. To help in forward planning of golf and private functions. Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the products and presentation. Ensure that the cleaning of kitchen is to the agreed standard. To ensure high personal hygiene. Ensure all club rules are always adhered to. Leading by example is vital for this position. To be aware of and act in accordance with set procedures including Fire and Health and Safety. Assist in the cleanliness upkeep of the Kitchen. To carry out any reasonable requests made by a member of the management team. Ability to work off own initiative and within a team. Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints. Team Working: Whilst this is not a supervisory role, team working with other staff and heads of department is essential.
