Youth Justice Service Officer / Case Manager Location: Colindale Department: Youth Justice Service Directorate: Children s Services Salary: £42,771 £46,968 Job Purpose To work as part of a multi-agency Youth Justice Service to prevent offending and reduce reoffending among children and young people. The postholder will manage a caseload, deliver statutory interventions and support young people to achieve positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of young people subject to Youth Justice statutory orders. Complete AssetPlus and other assessments, identifying risks, needs and strengths. Develop and deliver targeted intervention and risk-management plans. Prepare pre-sentence, referral order and court reports. Represent the YJS at Youth Court and other courts as required. Undertake direct work with young people, parents and carers, including home and community visits. Work with children s social care, police, education, health and other partner agencies. Support young people on bail, remand and custody, including resettlement and rehabilitation. Respond to safeguarding concerns and promote the welfare of children and young people. Promote restorative justice and positive outcomes for victims and young people. Maintain accurate, timely case records and contribute to service performance monitoring.
