Academics are working with a warm and welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Wickford seeking a passionate Year 6 Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September. About the Role

• Full-time, permanent Year 6 teaching position
• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that prepare pupils for the transition to secondary school
• Support pupils academically and emotionally through their final year of primary education
• Work collaboratively with a parallel class teacher and supportive leadership team
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-achieving school environment

Person Specification (Aligned to Teaching Standards)

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Sets high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge all pupils
• Demonstrates strong subject and curriculum knowledge, particularly within upper KS2
• Plans and teaches well-structured lessons, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Uses assessment effectively to support progress and raise attainment
• Manages behaviour effectively, creating a safe and respectful learning environment
• Promotes good progress and outcomes for all pupils, including those with additional needs
• Fulfils wider professional responsibilities, working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
• Is reflective, committed to professional development, and eager to contribute to school life

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in KS2 (Year 6 experience desirable but not essential)
• A passion for raising attainment and supporting pupils through SATs preparation
• A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching
