Are you a dedicated and compassionate Year 2 Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners£ A welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Aylesbury is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join their Key Stage 1 team and guide children through their crucial final year of KS1.

What You''ll Be Responsible For:

  Planning and delivering engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum.

  Supporting pupils in their preparation for KS1 SATs, focusing on both academic progress and emotional well-being.

  
  



• 
  

  Fostering early literacy and numeracy development, with a focus on effective phonics teaching (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds).

  Creating a nurturing, safe, and structured classroom environment where every child feels valued.

  
  



• 
  

  Collaborating with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to meet individual learning needs.

  
  



• 
  

  Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using this to inform future planning.

  Participating in school life, enrichment activities, and contributing to a positive team culture.

  
  

Who We''re Looking For:

• 
  

  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  
  



• 
  

  Previous experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.

  
  



• 
  

  Strong understanding of early childhood development and the KS1 assessment framework.

  
  



• 
  

  Confidence in teaching phonics, early reading, and foundational maths.
