We are currently recruiting for Yard Operatives to join a busy logistics and distribution site based in Normanton. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rates/Shift Info:
Days: £12.76ph | 06:00am – 14:00pm
Afternoons: £15.95ph | 14:00pm – 22:00pm
Nights: £16.97ph | 22:00pm – 06:00am
The Role:
As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy distribution site, ensuring goods are unloaded and processed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handballing stock from trailers and containers
- Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
- Supporting the smooth flow of operations across the yard
- Moving products to designated locations
- General yard maintenance and housekeeping duties
- Following site health and safety procedures at all times
- Working to operational targets in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For:
- A positive, hardworking attitude
- Ability to carry out heavy lifting and manual handling duties
- Good reliability and punctuality
- Previous experience within a warehouse, yard, or logistics environment is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
