Workshop OperativeSalary: 12.74 per hourHours: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to FridayLocation: Bishop''s StortfordHours: 40 hours per week + overtime available at an enhanced ratePrime Appointments are currently recruiting for a Workshop Operative to join a busy engineering environment based near Bishop''s Stortford. This is a hands-on opportunity suited to someone with a background in metalwork, fabrication or general workshop environments. The successful candidate will be working with metal components and equipment, carrying out assembly, disassembly, cutting and general workshop duties. Key ResponsibilitiesAssembling and dismantling metal components and equipmentCutting and preparing metal to required specificationsUsing hand tools and power tools safelyAssisting with general workshop and engineering tasksMeasuring and checking componentsFollowing drawings, instructions and specifications where requiredKeeping the workshop clean, organised and safeSupporting experienced engineers and fabricators with day-to-day tasksThe Ideal CandidatePrevious workshop, metalwork, fabrication or engineering experienceAn understanding of assembling and dismantling componentsExperience using hand and/or power toolsThe ability to measure, cut and prepare metalA practical and hands-on approach to workGood attention to detailA full UK driving licence due to the rural location of the siteWhat''s On Offer 12.74 per hourMonday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm40-hour working weekOvertime available at an ..... full job details .....
