Our client is a leading manufacturer of containers for the industrial markets. They specialise in design, manufacture, installation, and service, offering a full turn-key approach. They have invested responsibly in the manufacturing facility to drive innovation and remain a market leader in the manufacture of their products.

Your Role
- Lead, support and develop the production team to deliver against key objectives.
- Ensure production processes consistently meet quality, health & safety, and compliance standards.
- Promote and uphold a strong safety-first culture across the shop floor—ensuring use of PPE and full adherence to H&S policies.
- Conduct regular team briefings and toolbox talks to maintain open communication and alignment.
- Liaise effectively with other departments, external inspectors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Attend review meetings and contribute technical input where required.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of documentation (Document Pack / Life Time Records) to meet customer and compliance requirements.
- Champion continuous improvement across production and ensure best practices are adopted.
Your Background
- A strong engineering background—ideally in mechanical, electrical, or structural engineering.
- A natural leader who can engage, motivate, and develop a diverse production team.
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualified
- Solid understanding of welding standards (BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN ISO (phone number removed), and BS EN ISO (phone number removed) and how they are applied in the manufacturing process
- Hands-on experience in managing production within a technical manufacturing environment.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Confident with MS Office and production documentation systems.
- Equally comfortable in the office and on the shop floor—leading by example.
