Woodthorne Primary School is seeking an
Assistant Headteacher
to lead on Teaching and Learning, strengthen coaching culture, lead English across the school, and work strategically with staff to raise standards and build capacity. This is a permanent, full-time role with a starting date in January 2026 and a Leadership Group Pay Range, L5 - L9 (£57,137 - £63,070 per annum).There is real visibility and impact in this role, with the opportunity to shape the next phase of the school’s journey. Lead and quality-assure teaching and learning across the school.Develop and embed a coaching culture that supports all staff to improve and thrive.Take strategic responsibility for phase leadership, including performance management.Lead English across the school, ensuring high standards of literacy, curriculum delivery and pupil outcomes.Be an active and values-led member of the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with the Headteacher on whole-school priorities.What we are looking for
