Wheelchair Equipment Technician Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust East Berkshire Specialist Wheelchair Service, 3 Abell Gardens, Maidenhead SL6 6PS Monday to Friday 9.00 5.00 or 8.30 4.30 (37.5 hours per week) Band 4 £16.73 per hour Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for practical and motivated Wheelchair Equipment Technicians to join its friendly East Berkshire Specialist Wheelchair Service on a temporary basis. This is an opportunity for someone with mechanical, engineering, maintenance or other relevant hands-on experience to use their practical skills in a rewarding role supporting patients with disabilities and complex needs. You will work alongside Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Engineers and experienced technicians to help provide, prepare and adjust specialist wheelchairs and mobility equipment for adults and children. Candidates from care and healthcare backgrounds are also welcome to apply, provided they have a practical aptitude and are confident and comfortable using hand tools, including screwdrivers, and carrying out hands-on tasks. Previous wheelchair experience is beneficial. Role-specific training and support will be provided to help you carry out the duties safely and effectively.
