Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Location: Truro, Cornwall Job Type: Full-time / Permanent Salary: 14.50 - 16.00 About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join a team in Truro. This role involves working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans Cut, shape, and assemble metal components Operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and grinders Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards Carry out repairs and modifications to existing structures or components Maintain a clean and safe working environment Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines Requirements Proven experience as a welder/fabricator Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding (certifications desirable) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good understanding of health and safety practices Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential) Desirable Skills Experience with stainless steel and aluminium Previous work in structural or architectural metalwork Relevant NVQ or City and Guilds qualification in Welding/Fabrication What We Offer Competitive salary ..... full job details .....
