About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join a-team in Truro. This role involves working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or MMA welding to a high standard
• Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components
• Operate fabrication machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and grinders
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Carry out repairs and modifications to existing structures or components
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder/fabricator
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding (certifications desirable)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively
• Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Desirable Skills

• Experience with stainless steel and aluminium
• Previous work in structural or architectural metalwork
• Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Welding/Fabrication
