Waste Operations Manager

Location: Wandsworth, LondonSalary: 55,000 + Bonus + BenefitsOur client is a leading waste management and recycling business, looking for an experienced Waste Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of a major London site.This is a hands-on management role requiring strong leadership, operational and health and safety experience, with responsibility for people, plant, environmental compliance, site performance and continuous improvement.OverviewManage the day-to-day operation of the transfer station.Lead, motivate and develop supervisors, operators and support staff.Ensure compliance with environmental permits, waste legislation and Health and Safety requirements.Manage site throughput, operational performance and KPIs.Oversee traffic movements, vehicle flows, tipping operations and site safety.Manage recruitment, training, workforce planning and employee performance.Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.Oversee plant, equipment, maintenance and contractor management.Support budget control, cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives.Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, local authorities and regulatory bodies.RequirementsPrevious management experience within waste management, recycling, transfer stations, logistics or a similar operational environment.Strong people leadership and team management experience.Experience managing teams within a ..... full job details .....
