Waste Enforcement Officer

Waste enforcement officer required to work on a 1-year contract with a public sector organisation. This role focuses on tackling environmental offences, engaging with the public, and supporting a cleaner, safer borough through enforcement and education.

Contract type: Agency for 1 year

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Based in Swindon

Pay rate: -14.10

Main duties - Enforce regulations and prevent illegal waste activities, support the public with proper waste disposal and recycling practices, monitor waste collection services, engage with the public to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices.

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• Full UK driving licence
• Experience of public speaking and engaging with the public
• Be able to handle conflict
• Be able to deal sympathetically and be empathic with member of the public
• Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
