Warehouse Operative

Location: Unit A, Waterbeach, Cambridge
Contract Length: ongoing temporary
Start Date: 15th of September
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-1:00pm Friday (some Friday afternoons on a rota)
Overtime: May be required during busy periods (additional pay or time in lieu applies)
We''re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our Waterbeach team on a temporary basis during our summer peak. You''ll be working in a fast-paced environment where precision, care, and teamwork matter.
What you''ll need:

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse role (ideally packing-related)
• Ability to complete tasks independently and to a high standard
• Great attention to detail when checking instructions and completing work
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems or tools
• A strong work ethic and team player attitude , happy to support others when needed
• Clear and respectful communication with colleagues and supervisors
• Common sense and calm problem-solving , escalate issues appropriately
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for trying new working methods as we adapt and improve

Helpful extras:

• Previous manual handling training or knowledge is a plus
• Comfortable supporting or training others with clear, calm communication
