Job description:
The company needing a warehouse manager-are one of the fastest growing Tyre wholesalers in Europe located in West Midlands. As part of our growth, we have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager who can manage our fast-moving warehouse operation, implementing positive change and implementing procedures which will aid our growth.
The Ideal Warehouse Manager would have the following responsibilities and roles:
- Management and planning daily distribution requirements.
- Fully accountable for the day to day running of the warehouse.
- You will be responsible for the whole distribution facility, identifying ways in which you are able to improve processes
- You will need to ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are practiced and also ensure that all environmental risks are kept to a minimum.
- Contributing to the evaluation and development operational strategy and performance measures.
- Managing a team of 12 members of staff.
- Work as part of a team with Operations Manager and other Senior Managers to help grow the business.
Qualifications and experience:
The successful candidate for the Warehouse manager-position will have the following skills and experiences:
- 3+ Years Operational Supervisor / Management experience in warehousing.
- Proven track record as a Warehouse manager-or similar role.
- Experienced within both bulk and multi-drop environments and operations.
- Have great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and the ability to use initiative to overcome day to day issues.
- Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- PC literate using programs such as WMS, Microsoft and E-mail communications
