You will either be a qualified nurse or hold a clinical professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary team of nursing and MDT staff to ensure clinical excellence and outstanding care are delivery at all times.Responsibilities
Lead by example and inspire those around you to provide exceptional care, operational and clinical excellence on the Ward. As part of the management team, you will work with colleagues and senior leaders to lead your team and support our CQC requirements.Engage in Quality Improvement initiatives and contribute to the strategic development of our service.Lead the ward team in providing high quality, compassionate nursing care and demonstrate this through compliance with performance outcomes.Be a positive and strong leader who sets a clear and compelling vision for the team, is a visible presence, and influences and supports great teamwork and a positive culture.Lead by example and motivate the team to provide exceptional levels of care to all patients. Act as a positive change agent, with dedication, professionalism and communication skills to inspire others to perform at a high level in challenging situations.Engage in ongoing professional development and appraisal, participate in Quality Improvement initiatives, and contribute to the strategic development of the service.Team support and structure
As Ward Manager on Avocet Ward, you will be fully supported by a Matron as well as the East Suffolk Locality Leadership.Qualifications and requirements
To be responsible for the management and leadership of a team of health professionals providing care over a 24-hour period. To provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team.Expected to lead the ward team in providing high quality, compassionate nursing care and will be able to demonstrate this through compliance with performance outcomes.Benefits
