We are recruiting for a Vineyard Manager & Winery Assistant to join a small but thriving vineyard and winery in beautiful Norfolk.
This is an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity offering a salary of £30,000 plus overtime, together with on-site accommodation in a farm cottage.
Working closely with an experienced consultant winemaker and the vineyard owner, you’ll have the opportunity to play an important part in the continued development of the vineyard and wine business.
The roleThis is a varied, hands-on position covering both vineyard management and winemaking, including:
Managing day-to-day vineyard operations including pruning, spraying, canopy management and harvest
Monitoring vine health and maintaining vineyard infrastructure
Planning seasonal vineyard work programmes
Coordinating additional labour during busy periods
Supporting all aspects of winemaking, from grape processing and pressing through to fermentation, racking and bottling
Carrying out routine wine analysis and cellar work
Maintaining winery equipment and accurate production records
Coordinating and overseeing harvest activity and logistics
Supporting the production of both still and sparkling wines
Helping to host vineyard tours, tastings and monthly events
Representing the vineyard at local markets and events
We’re looking for someone with previous experience as an Assistant Winemaker, Vineyard Manager or within a similar hands-on viticulture/winemaking position.
Ideally, you will have:
A BSc in Viticulture & Oenology or equivalent practical experience
Experience of cool-climate vineyard management
PA1 and PA3 & 6 spray certifications
Tractor and forklift experience
A valid forklift licence
Full, clean UK driving licence with trailer entitlement
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach
Experience with both still and sparkling wine production, laboratory work or WSET qualifications would be an advantage.

Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm

There will be a requirement for flexibility and additional hours during key periods, particularly harvest and bottling.
