OverviewMcKenzie Vets is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team on a permanent basis. We offer a diverse and interesting caseload, including a mix of medical and surgical cases such as routine neutering, pyometras, lump removals, GI foreign bodies and dentistry, as well as radiology and consults. If you have a particular area of interest, we would be happy to support you in developing this further.

We pride ourselves on the high standard of care for our patients. We have lovely clients and pets, and, being rural, an amazing variety of patients of all breeds and sizes. We are small animal only but see some exotics and occasionally work with otters and turtles at the Sea Life Centre. We have Silver Cat Friendly status and have achieved RCVS GP accreditation.
