Tutor for children with mild SEN needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted reading support to children with mild SEN needs

• Plan and deliver engaging literacy sessions tailored to individual learning levels

• Use a variety of strategies to support phonics, comprehension, and reading fluency

• Encourage confidence and enjoyment in reading

• Provide feedback on pupil progress where required

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children, ideally with SEN or additional learning needs

• Background in education, tutoring, teaching, or youth work is desirable

• Strong knowledge of early literacy and reading development

• Patient, supportive, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
