OverviewBarts Health NHS Trust Surgery Clinical Academic Group doctor in Anaesthetics at Whipps Cross University Hospital. Anaesthetic junior post/s have become available within the department of Perioperative Medicine at Whipps Cross Hospital. These posts are funded by Barts Health and are therefore Trust Grade appointments. They attract the MN37 pay scale, 1A banding supplement (50%) and London weighting. These posts may also assist successful candidates who are working towards Stage 1 RCoA competencies. The post will commence on Aug 6th 2025, and will be for 6 months, with opportunity to extend further by mutual agreement.
Job ResponsibilitiesMain duties of the job
The Department of Perioperative Medicine provides anaesthesia for all surgical specialties and is involved in many exciting initiatives. The Critical Care Unit comprises 17 beds. There are 800 - 900 admissions per year. The maternity unit provides an engaging training environment and has 4500-5000 deliveries/year. On calls are on a 1:8 rolling rota and will be in either Emergency theatres, critical care or obstetrics.
