We have an exciting post supporting Solid Oncology patients on the Chemotherapy Day Unit/CAU at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. It is a specialised Cancer and Cardiac teaching hospital and is home to many eminent Oncologists and Academics, with a strong culture of research and innovation.
These positions would suit a post-F2 level doctor who is considering a career in oncology. The post is full-time, working Monday to Wednesday, 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities include: reviewing patients attending for chemotherapy, managing acute toxicities of cancer treatment, and assessing patients in your own clinic.
You will be supported by clinical teams of specialist registrars, consultants, specialist nurses, and advanced practitioners. There is a separate Cancer Assessment Unit.
You will join a team of 14 ‘ST1-2’ level Doctors providing oncology inpatient cover, divided between solid tumour oncology and haemato-oncology.
We offer established teaching programmes, journal clubs, and encourage attendance at outpatient clinics. Opportunities for audit and quality improvement projects are available, with mentorship from our Consultants.
The post is based in the Department of Medical and Clinical Oncology and is initially for a fixed-term period of 6 months.
