This is an excellent opportunity to become part of one of the UK''s largest distribution networks, playing a key role in planning the movement of (Apply online only) pallets every day.The RoleAs the PM Transport Planner, you will take ownership of the main planning function. You''ll produce the primary transport plan for the day''s deliveries, with the day planner making any final operational adjustments as required.This position requires someone who is confident making decisions independently.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and optimise routes for (Apply online only) pallets per daySchedule and allocate a fleet of 30 vehicles, including rigid and articulated vehiclesCoordinate trunking movements and ensure efficient vehicle utilisationPlan deliveries across key local postcodesMonitor transport performance and respond to operational challengesCommunicate effectively with drivers, warehouse teams and the wider transport departmentEnsure compliance with transport legislation and company proceduresAbout YouWe''re looking for someone who has:Previous experience in transport planning within a fast-paced distribution or logistics environmentStrong geographical knowledge of the South EastExperience planning multi-drop or pallet network ..... full job details .....
