Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Transport Planner to join their busy operations team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced container transport professional to take on a senior planning role within a busy and established operation, managing the day-to-day planning of container movements while working closely with drivers, customers, shipping lines and depots.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and allocate daily container movements, managing drivers, vehicles and workloadsManage port collections, deliveries and VBS bookingsMonitor container availability, vehicle movements and port systemsLiaise with drivers, customers, shipping lines and depots throughout the dayProactively manage delays and operational issues, ensuring transport plans run efficientlyMonitor driver hours and ensure transport plans remain compliantUtilise subcontractor and agency resource when requiredMaintain accurate transport system updates and effective handoversRequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience within container transport planning or operationsStrong knowledge of the Port of Felixstowe and container transportGood understanding of drivers'' hours and transport complianceStrong planning, organisational and ..... full job details .....
