Transport Planner

Transport Planner - Hartlepool We are recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Hartlepool. This role is responsible for coordinating daily transport activities, optimising vehicle routes, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. Key Responsibilities: Plan and schedule daily deliveries and collections. Optimise routes to maximise fleet utilisation and reduce costs. Monitor transport KPIs and service performance. Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules. Resolve transport issues and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with driver hours regulations, transport legislation, and company policies. Produce transport reports and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: Previous experience within a Transport Planner, Logistics Planner, or Transport Coordinator role. Strong organisational and communication skills. Experience using transport management systems (TMS). Knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
