Transport Operations Manager Required! Location: Portsmouth Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm Our client is an established transport and logistics business operating a busy palletised distribution, haulage and warehousing operation from Portsmouth. We are looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operation, managing drivers, transport planning, customer service and overall performance. Package: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:30pm £45,000 - £50,000 per annum Additional benefits discussed at interview Transport Operations Manager - Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day transport operation Manage and support drivers, warehouse and admin staff Oversee daily planning, vehicle movements and deliveries Monitor transport performance and resolve operational issues Deal with driver and customer queries Work closely with the warehouse and planning teams Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance and downtime Ensure drivers and vehicles operate safely and compliantly Monitor driver hours, vehicle checks and relevant documentation Identify ways to improve efficiency, service and operating costs Manage operational administration and performance reporting Transport Operations Manager - Requirements: Previous experience in transport operations, transport management or a senior transport role Experience managing drivers and/or a transport team Good understanding of day-to-day transport operations ..... full job details .....
