The Transaction Manager will support the management of all aspects of Structured Real Estate transactions from receipt of credit approved terms through to deal closing, including proactive liaison with valuation firms, lawyers and clients to ensure timely drawdown and completion. The role also provides ongoing oversight of all existing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Transaction Manager in the management of transactions from approval to drawdown, including documentary review and sign-off against the approved term sheet and sanction conditions.Manage non-property security (e.g., cash) in line with sanction conditions.Review development drawdown requests and bank monitoring surveyor reports.Instruct valuers and assess valuation reports; liaise with Credit on discrepancies. This includes re-valuations in line with CRDlV, with the Transaction Manager independently reviewing RM''s assessment and ensuring policy adherence.Take accountability for: Professionals Appointment, Standardised Conditions Precedent, Security and Report on Title, Exceptions Reporting, Documentation Execution, Trade Documents and Funding Sign Off, Release of Bank Securities.Ensure all collateral and relevant details are recorded on the banking system post-drawdown.Oversee vendor management and ensure timely vendor due diligence.Assist the Senior Transaction Manager with the preparation and submission of departmental MI in a timely manner.Collaborate with all team members on existing and new deals.Liaise with the Bank''s Credit and Risk team to ensure transactions are completed in line with approval and Bank procedures; prepare credit memos for any changes to approval where required.Cover the Transaction Manager position during annual leave and provide general administrative support to the line manager.Ensure adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.Support the Bank in meeting its targets and growth aspirations.
Qualifications and Experience
Educated to degree standard in finance and business (or similar subject) or equivalent experience.
Knowledge and Skills
In-depth understanding of Finance relating to Real Estate Development and Renovation, Real Estate investments (commercial, mixed-use, residential) and offshore vehicles. Trading services experience is also useful.Experience in Real Estate Sales and/or Credit.Team player with leadership qualities and excellent communication skills.Aim to deliver high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop people/teams.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other database tools.Experience dealing with Watch accounts and EWIs, including scenario analysis.Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the regulatory framework.
