Work as a key member of the deal team, coordinating and delivering adviceProvide support to front line, credit and our customers on all aspects of the documentation process for commercial and corporate lending transactionsManage the deals from credit approval through documentation negotiation and drawdown, working closely with stakeholders and external legal counselAct as a referral point for colleagues and stakeholders, organize the daily workflow, as well as support your team in ensuring deals complete in an efficient and timely mannerLead and project manage all aspects of loan execution process for complex transactionsLead and proactively manage internal and external partners to completion — as part of the Transaction Management Team you are acting as an expert on all documentation, security and due diligence queries relating to corporate and commercial lending applications, negotiating and agreeing the terms in compliance with credit approvals and policyProvide proactive solutions to deals that snag, achieve credit acceptance on relevant issues, support and influence colleagues in the right way to make the right decisionBe a senior point of reference to deal execution and knowledge of documentation and security (including LMA)Develop and maintain management information packs to track workflow and efficienciesPossibility to manage a team of Transaction Management Specialists who will also progress allocated lending transactionsOversee the Training and Competency scheme for new joiners and ensure colleagues progress through their journeys as outlinedAnd we are a bank, so risk is a part of everything we do. Strong background in Commercial, Corporate or Business bankingA genuine interest and strong knowledge of the corporate and commercial loans marketAbility to assess, analyse and provide solutions to take lending transactions forwardExperience of LMA documentation and a strong understanding of lending productsExperience managing complex relationships and providing solutions whilst protecting the bank (financial, regulatory or reputational)Solid communication skills and ability to maintain a positive internal network across internal and external teamsExperience of risk forums — taking ownership of actions, managing actions through to completionRobust interest and knowledge of Loan Market Association documentation and a strong understanding of lending products, credit papers and key terminology usedExperience reviewing and identifying issues on Head of Terms documents to streamline deal processingUnderstand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholdersOur promise to you
