Textiles Teacher

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school for a talented and creative Textiles Teacher to join their Design and Technology department.This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with a passion for textiles to inspire students and contribute to a thriving and supportive school community. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:Plan and deliver engaging and practical Textiles lessonsEncourage creativity, innovation, and technical skill developmentAssess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedbackContribute to the wider Design and Technology curriculumMaintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environmentRequirements:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)Degree or strong background in Textiles, Fashion, or a related fieldExperience teaching in a UK secondary school settingStrong classroom management and organisational skillsA passion for creative subjects and student developmentAll candidates who register with Simply Education are required to provide references for the previous 2 years of work, as well as complete an enhanced DBS check.
