Textiles Teacher

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced secondary school for a talented and creative Textiles Teacher to join their Design & Technology department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with a passion for textiles to inspire students and contribute to a thriving and supportive school community. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and practical Textiles lessons
• Encourage creativity, innovation, and technical skill development
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to the wider Design & Technology curriculum
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree or strong background in Textiles, Fashion, or a related field
• Experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A passion for creative subjects and student development
