Temporary Accommodation Officer

Our local authority client based in West London are urgently seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Officer.

-23.07 an hour PAYE

Hybrid working: 3 days on site

Job Role

• To directly manage a range of properties acquired for temporary accommodation for Homeless households. Tasks include void management, lettings, tenancy management, rent arrears, repairs, landlord liaison and related areas.
• To contract manage the various suppliers of accommodation (PLAs & HALs) ensuring invoices are processed efficiently and compliance regarding contractual responsibilities.
• To work in conjunction with all teams within Housing Solutions to ensure coordinated service delivery to statutorily homeless households.
• To monitor and visit temporary accommodation tenants and ensure authorised occupation, vacation and repossession on proper discharge of the Council''sduties under homelessness legislation and to ensure that all properties are fully compliant with Health and Safety standards.
• To provide support and advice to all temporary accommodation tenants including advice on employment and training and to make referrals to external agencies as appropriate.
• To undertake project work as required and lead as required on the Housing Association Leasing Scheme and other related projects as appropriate.
