Technical Buyer

Our client, an industry leader in its sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Technical Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services to support business requirements.Key Responsibilities:Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demandEnsuring materials arrive on the purchase order required dateMaintaining supplier details on the ERP systemBuilding solid working relationships with suppliersMonitoring performance and managing improvementsKeeping PO delivery dates current on SAPCollaborating with the Supply Chain team to manage core suppliers in specialized commodity groupsCarrying out tasks and duties as required by Senior ManagementJob Requirements:Experience as a Senior Buyer or BuyerCompetency in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word and OutlookExperience with ERP systemsExperience in a manufacturing environmentCompetency in one or more of these commodity groups: Engines and Mechanicals, CompositesAbility to read technical drawings and understand technical dataProfessional and entrepreneurial attitudeExcellent communication and assertiveness skillsFlexible, reliable, and self-motivatedAbility to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple project deadlinesPersonal Qualities/Attributes:Desire to develop new skills and experiencesGood business acumenProblem-solving abilityAssertivenessAnalytical approach to ..... full job details .....
