Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus discretionary bonus
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Working arrangement: Predominantly site-based initially
Wild Nutrition is a fast-growing, female-founded health and wellness business with a clear mission to support women through better nutrition.
The company produces a broad range of premium supplements using high-quality, evidence-based ingredients and is now looking for an experienced Technical & Compliance Manager to take ownership of its technical compliance function.
This is a broad, hands-on position covering regulatory compliance, product claims, labelling, quality systems, supplier standards and post-launch product compliance.
The roleReporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with NPD, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for ensuring that products remain safe, compliant and supported by effective technical systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and continuously improving the Quality Management System
Writing, reviewing and maintaining SOPs, policies, specifications and technical documentation
Ensuring compliance with UK food supplement and labelling legislation
Reviewing product labels, nutritional information, health claims and marketing content
Supporting regulatory compliance across new product development
Providing clear compliance gates before products and campaigns are launched
Managing CAPA, complaints, investigations and continuous-improvement activity
Leading supplier approval, technical reviews and ongoing supplier compliance
Supporting internal, supplier and external audits
Maintaining standards and certifications such as GMP, BRCGS, FSSC 22000 or SALSA
Supporting certification requirements including Soil Association and Vegan Society
Working with approximately 45 formulas and a broad international supplier base
Supporting products sold across the UK and international markets
Providing practical, commercially aware compliance advice across the business
Supporting and developing the Compliance Assistant
You will ideally have:
A degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Law, Business or a related subject
At least three to five years of compliance experience within food, supplements, nutraceuticals or regulated FMCG
Strong knowledge of UK food supplement and labelling requirements
An understanding of FSA and EFSA requirements
Experience reviewing product claims, labels and technical documentation
Hands-on experience managing or developing a QMS
Experience writing SOPs and managing CAPA or complaints
Exposure to standards such as BRCGS, FSSC 22000, SALSA or GMP
Strong attention to detail and the confidence to make clear compliance decisions
The ability to work effectively across NPD, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain
Previous people-management experience is not essential. Technical credibility, attention to detail and the ability to take ownership are more important.
