About the roleAs Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to pupils across a range of abilities, working both within the classroom and in small group or one-to-one settings. Year 5 is a pivotal year as pupils build towards the demands of KS2 SATs in Year 6, and your role in keeping them focused, motivated and progressing will be genuinely important.You will support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons, helping to implement differentiated activities, manage resources and ensure all pupils are fully included in their learning. You may also be called upon to support pupils with specific needs, including those with SEND, EAL or social and emotional challenges.The school has a positive, collaborative culture where teaching assistants are respected members of the team.
