We are seeking a passionate, patient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with SEN including Autism. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils engage in personalised learning and thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs to access a broad and differentiated curriculum. You will work collaboratively with class teachers, therapists and the wider school team to deliver targeted support and nurture pupils'' development in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual pupil needs

• Assist pupils with communication, social interaction and regulation of emotions

• Support pupils with personal care requirements where needed

• Help implement EHCP targets and personalised learning outcomes

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and multi-disciplinary staff to adapt activities

• Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour

Experience & Skills You''ll Need

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN

• Strong understanding of Autism and other learning difficulties

• Confidence supporting challenging behaviours with patience and resilience

• Comfortable supporting personal care tasks sensitively

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Awareness of sensory needs and regulation strategies
