Teaching Assistant - Southwark
Location: Southwark, South East London
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: -110 - -120 per day
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Southwark from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across a primary or secondary setting, working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. The school prides itself on its supportive staff team, inclusive ethos, and commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, including those with additional learning needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
- A patient, supportive, and proactive approach
- Experience supporting students with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, or speech and language needs) - desirable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for education and supporting student development
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom to help them access learning
- Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group support where required
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Help promote students'' social, emotional, and academic development
