Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: SalfordStart Date: OctoberSalary: £92.63 - £110 per dayDo you have experience supporting children with challenging behaviour?Are you a patient and resilient Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent 1-to-1 support?Can you build positive relationships and help a child engage successfully with their learning?TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small, welcoming primary school based in Salford, which has been rated Good by OFSTED.The school provides a supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop both academically and personally.The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant from October on a long-term, full-time basis, providing 1-to-1 support for a child in Year 3 who displays challenging behaviour.The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to build a positive relationship with the child, support their engagement in learning and manage behaviour effectively while working closely with the class teacher.The successful Teaching Assistant will have:• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour• Confidence providing 1-to-1 support within the classroom• Strong behaviour management and communication skills• A patient, resilient and supportive approach• A can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck inThe ideal candidate will also hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
