Teaching Assistant

Location: Quidenham, NorfolkStart Date: September 2026 (or as soon as possible)

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist education setting in Quidenham, Norfolk, seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This rewarding opportunity involves supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated needs within a calm, nurturing environment.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
• Help pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and daily classroom routines.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD (desirable but not essential).
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or transferable experience are desirable.
