GSL Education are looking to recruit a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join schools across Wingerworth. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in helping learners of all abilities stay motivated, involved, and confident as they navigate their educational journey.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Offer targeted support to individual students and small groups, tailored to their specific needs.
• Help with daily classroom tasks, including setting up resources and supporting teaching sessions.
• Inspire and uplift students, foster self-esteem and encouraging autonomy in their learning.
• Track learner development and share observations with the teaching team.
• Encourage respectful behaviour and help maintain a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Prior involvement in a school or learning environment is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
• A calm, adaptable, and caring approach to supporting young students.
• Sound awareness of child safeguarding and protection procedures.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or readiness to obtain one.
• An up-to-date CV detailing the past 10 years, with any employment gaps clearly accounted for.
