GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support students in schools across Barnsley. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about inclusive education and student development.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

• Support teaching staff in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions where necessary.
• Assist in managing student behaviour and promoting engagement.
• Help to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to meet pupil needs.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable.
• A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to learning support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
