Teaching Assistant

A friendly and inclusive primary school in the heart of Levenshulme is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their Year 3 team. This position is for a general Teaching Assistant in a Year 3 class, starting immediately and continuing on a supply basis, through Tradewind until at least the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to the class teacher and assist with the delivery of engaging lessons
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and progress
• Help to maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
• Support pupils with varying abilities and needs, promoting independence and confidence
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources and displays
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos

• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Prior experience of working in a U.K primary school setting
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
• Legal right to work in the UK
