We are seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and be committed to helping all pupils achieve their full potential.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience of working with primary-aged children in an educational setting.
Has proven experience supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including communication and interaction needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and/or cognition and learning needs.
Is confident working across both KS1 and KS2.
Can build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
Is patient, nurturing and adaptable in their approach.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Can work effectively with individuals, small groups and whole classes under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
Is committed to promoting inclusion, independence and pupil wellbeing.
The role will include:
Supporting pupils with SEN to access learning and participate fully in school life.
Providing classroom support across KS1 and KS2.
Delivering targeted interventions and small-group support.
Supporting pupils'' academic, social and emotional development.
Working closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement support strategies and individual targets.
Assisting with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil independence.
