The role: Emanuel School invites applications for the position of

Teacher of English

to join our successful and well-established English Department on a fixed term basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented teacher who can deliver engaging, inspiring lessons and contribute to the continued success of the department.

The English Department at Emanuel is characterised by its team of highly skilled subject specialists, whose deep knowledge and passion for literature and language are matched by the high aspirations of our pupils. Together, this creates an intellectually stimulating and rewarding environment in which teaching and learning can flourish.

Strong subject knowledge

is essential, alongside a commitment to developing as a practitioner within our supportive school environment. In addition to excellent classroom teaching, all staff at Emanuel undertake pastoral responsibilities (as a form tutor, or as a co-tutor if an ECT) and play an active role in the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities and outreach programmes.
