The Tax and Transfer Pricing Manager will be responsible for international tax compliance of the Group including transfer pricing. Please be aware this position will be for a 14 month Fixed Term period covering Maternity leave.Responsibilities
Provide transfer pricing advice and support including advice on application of transfer pricing laws and practice on Lightsource bp’s intercompany transactions in current and new markets, in particularProvide tax advice in respect of intercompany funding arrangements including interest rate benchmarking and debt capacity analyses, and pricing of guarantees (including any thin cap / interest restriction calculations required for tax compliance aspects)Benchmarking to support development feesReview and support intercompany service charges including working with the legal team to ensure correct documentation of intercompany agreementsManage contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation including the Lightsource bp’s group master file and local transfer pricing documentation for all major intercompany transactional streamsManage and approve the UK and overseas tax compliance filings for related party transactions, including managing the data requirements between internal teams and the external advisersSupport the MandA team during project acquisitions and divestments by providing advice from a transfer pricing/international tax perspectiveAct as Country Tax Manager for certain APAC countries to oversee direct tax compliance and reporting matters on CIT, WHT et al and support internally with wider cross functional teams on tax DD activity, tax planning, and tax auditsAssistance with tax authority transfer pricing enquiries and audit defenseMonitoring OECD and local country developments for new transfer pricing compliance requirements and the implementation of theseSupport the business in adhering to changes in global tax legislation in a timely manner and changes are communicated to relevant internal departmentsExperience and Knowledge Required
Qualified tax professional with 6 years + post qualified experiencePreferably in-house MNC experience of implementing and maintaining transfer pricing policies and documentationTechnically up to date with a good understanding of international taxation legislation and standards with respect to transfer pricingStrong UK GAAP and IFRS tax accounting knowledge beneficialInternational experience / exposure essentialWider corporate international tax experience and knowledge of issues such as corporate interest restriction, CFC, DAC 6 beneficialAbility to initiate and lead a project through to a successful completion engaging stakeholders throughout the processThe ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and to meet tight timeframes and drive continuous improvementsSkills Required
