Base pay range: Salary up to £80k

Hybrid Role • Glasgow City Centre • Permanent Role

Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to recruit a Tax Manager on a permanent basis. Working with a team of dedicated professionals, you''ll be responsible for leading the international tax agenda, contributing to business projects, in particular assisting in providing advice on new international routes to markets, acquisitions, and integration of acquired business. The Manager will report to the Tax Director, and will be responsible for assisting with our client''s tax compliance and provision matters. Responsibilities

Overseeing the preparation of all required corporate income tax returns and associated calculations/workpapers in assigned jurisdictions

Overseeing the preparation of all required VAT tax returns in assigned jurisdictions

Assist with quarterly and year end tax provision workings, both for local country financial statement preparation and the global US GAAP audited financial statement

Assist with calculating and making corporate income tax and VAT payments, and monthly account reconciliations

Support the US and European input into the US and Global Consolidated tax provision process

Work closely with Finance/Accounting teams on tax-related matters for statutory financial statement filings and audits

Manage Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) and SOX compliance and procedures

Understand systems requirements related to income tax and VAT; monitor changes

Qualifications

ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification

Relevant tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or multi-national company

Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Highly organized with the ability to efficiently and accurately manage competing priorities and internal and external deadlines

Positive attitude and dependable team player with strong attention to detail
