We are supporting a leading Real Estate group as they look to make a new hire into their Tax team. This role would suit someone moving in-house for the first time. Real estate experience/exposure would be great but, is not a must.Base pay range

The role:Preparing tax computations and filing returns for the group’s UK-based entities, including companies and partnerships.Introducing and overseeing the use of tax return preparation software.Reviewing tax returns prepared by external advisors for overseas entities.Drafting responses to HMRC queries and requests for information.Supporting the calculation of quarterly tax figures, as well as disclosures for half-year and year-end reporting, including tax notes for statutory accounts, and liaising with auditors to finalize these.Assisting the Tax team in preparing for HMRC’s business risk review process.Collaborating with the Finance team on daily tax reporting and reconciliation of tax balances.Contributing to the development of tax forecasts for inclusion in group-wide budgets.Managing corporation tax payments and refunds.Coordinating with external advisors and internal teams to determine capital allowances for tax return inclusion.Preparing Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings (ATED) returns.Supporting transfer pricing calculations for inclusion in the group’s tax filings.Assisting with PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) computations.Providing support on Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and VAT matters during peak periods, with guidance from the broader team.Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes to improve efficiency. While prior experience in automation is not essential, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are important.Handling additional tax-related tasks as directed by the Director of Tax.
